And I said to my body, softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath and replied, ‘I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.’

Believe In Therapy
A therapeutic center for change
We are a private practice therapy group located in downtown Geneva, IL specializing in treating complex trauma and eating disorders
What We Do
At Believe In Therapy, we know that showing up for yourself is the bravest step you can take. We offer a safe, warm space where you can explore what’s holding you back and discover the path to a more empowered and engaged life. Our practice is built on the simple belief that therapy works, and we are here to walk with you on this journey.
Why Believe In Therapy?
Our Approach: Expertise Rooted in Empathy
Finding the right therapist is about more than just qualifications; it's about a collaborative partnership. Our clinical expertise is the foundation of our work, but our compassionate, holistic approach is what truly sets us apart. We believe that no single treatment fits all, which is why we've cultivated a diverse skill set to meet your unique needs.
We draw from evidence-based treatment such as:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you clarify what truly matters and take committed action toward your values.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): To provide practical tools for managing difficult thoughts and emotions.
Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS): To explore the profound connection between your mind and body and heal from within.
We are here to provide resources, guidance, and unwavering support, but ultimately, you are in charge of your journey. We work together to determine the frequency and duration of our sessions, ensuring a collaborative process that respects your pace and goals.

At Believe In Therapy, we take an open and honest approach to our work - that means being clear about the financial commitment. We do not accept insurance and are not in-network with any insurance companies, which means we are considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider.
The traditional insurance model is often misaligned with the complexities of mental health needs, leading to denials for medically necessary care.
Payment for all sessions is due at the time of service and can be made by check, cash, or credit card. A credit card is required at the time of booking your initial consultation. This card will be kept on file for all future sessions and will be processed on the day of your appointment. It will also be used for any missed session or late cancellation fees.
We are happy to discuss this more with you if you have additional questions.
*** Reimbursement from insurance: We highly recommend you contact your insurance company directly to ask about your Out-of-Network mental health benefits. Keep in mind that you may have to meet a separate deductible before your benefits are accessible.
